Sancha Prowse

Sancha Prowse, lead singer of the Blue Gypsies is also a highly sought after singing teacher/ vocal coach, and visual artist. Her artwork features on the cover of the CD. She has lived in Nashville, toured the U.S. extensively, sung on cruise ships, performed on live TV, recorded jingles for radio ads and backing vocal recording sessions for countless artists. In her spare time, she practices the mandolin and runs half marathons for fun!

Marcus Holden

Marcus Holden plays violin, mandolin and guitar, teaches at the Australian Institute of Music and is busy doing his Masters of Music at Limerick Uni (Ireland). He appears in a kilt in the popular stage show “Scotland the Brave” and has performed as a soloist with many major orchestras in Australia. He also runs his own recording studio, runs his dogs to keep fit and somehow finds time to write music for orchestra and small ensembles.

Stan Valacos

Stan Valacos plays with just about every jazz ensemble in Sydney. He’s a regular at the world famous Unity Hall Hotel in Balmain, speaks Portuguese, is a wonderful Choro (Brazilian Jazz) seven string guitarist, runs his own recording studio and is a graduate of the Jazz Course at the NSW Conservatorium of Music on Double Bass. In his spare time he dreams up heavy metal bass lines for jazz tunes.

Garry Steel

Garry Steel has been playing piano and accordion since he was 10 years old. He and musician brother Kirk grew up in Kalgoorlie where their dad was a mining engineer. In his recording career Garry has appeared on so many albums he’s lost count. He performs regularly with many of Sydney’s finest high profile groups and ensembles and builds carbon- fibre boats in his spare time.
